Select the drive for the door, not by motor power alone
What it is & where it fits
This range contains garage-door openers and industrial shaft operators as separate product families. Garage models JE-1101–JE-1108 and industrial models JE-1109–JE-1111 have different selection data and should be compared within the appropriate family.
What it helps you address
A suitable drive connects your door movement with the controls used on site. Replacement and new-installation enquiries both depend on mechanical fit, door balance and expected usage, rather than simply choosing the highest wattage.
How to choose your configuration
- Identify door type, dimensions, mass, balancing arrangement and hourly or daily opening cycles before comparing force or torque.
- Check mounting space and the shaft or rail interface. Match supply voltage and phase to the specific operator, not just the product-range heading.
- List required buttons, remotes or access-control interfaces; confirm compatible safety inputs, travel limits and manual release with the chosen model.
Limits & checks before ordering
The range is not universally interchangeable. A motor cannot compensate for a damaged or incorrectly balanced door. Pulling force, torque and operating speed describe different model families; do not combine their best figures into one specification. Connectivity features require explicit confirmation.
Start with the information you have
For replacement, send the existing operator label and photos of the door, shaft or rail. Add voltage and frequency of use if known. If mass or torque is unknown, identify that gap in the enquiry rather than guessing a motor size.
Which operator matches your door and intended duty?
Identify the door, balance, drive interface and operating pattern before comparing operator ratings. Keep each model’s force or torque, supply and duty information together. A larger motor does not resolve an unidentified mechanical problem.
Build a configuration around your requirements
Use this checklist to compare proposals. It identifies questions to resolve, rather than promising that every option is available for every opening.
| Review item | Buyer decision | What to share | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Door assembly | Which door and lifting arrangement the operator must serve. | Door type, dimensions, available mass data and assembly documents. | Compatibility with the complete door. |
| Drive and mounting | How the proposed operator connects and fits. | Visible labels, shaft or rail details and mounting space. | Specific drive and mounting interface. |
| Power and duty | What supply and use pattern the model must support. | Voltage/phase information and busiest operating period. | The exact model’s ratings and operating limitations. |
| Controls and protection | Which requested functions must work together. | Existing controls, access requirements and desired functions. | Compatible inputs, protective devices and included accessories. |
What should your quotation include?
Identify the selected operator model rather than only the range name. List mounting components, control equipment and accessories, and distinguish site wiring or commissioning responsibilities. Existing door faults and loaded mechanisms need qualified assessment before a replacement is selected.

Your questions, answered
Practical answers for selecting and specifying this product.
How do I choose a garage opener or industrial shaft operator?
Start with door type, dimensions, mass, balance and daily operating cycles. Garage opener pulling force and industrial operator torque are different selection measures; compare the appropriate family and mounting arrangement for the actual door.
Can I replace another brand’s motor with one of these?
Compatibility requires review. Send the existing motor nameplate, shaft or track details, mounting dimensions, controller and safety-device connections. A similar-looking housing does not establish mechanical or electrical interchangeability.
What power-supply information is needed?
State site voltage, phase and frequency, along with the chosen operator family. Use the technical tables to compare available configurations, then confirm the exact model and electrical requirements in the quotation.
Can I keep my remotes, sensors or app controls?
Provide their model numbers and connection details. Radio frequency alone does not guarantee remote compatibility, and safety devices or app functions depend on the controller. List every item you want to retain.
What should an operator quotation include?
Ask for the exact motor and controller models, mounting accessories, controls, safety devices and required power arrangement. Include the door details and duty requirements so the supplied scope can be checked as a complete system.
Application fit
Select a garage door opener or industrial door operator against the door type, mass, operating frequency, power supply and control requirements. Compatibility requires technical confirmation.
